Be safe, be seen, be supported.

The Practice of BE-ING

Susan Crimmins, Ph.D., an integrative healing practitioner, offers BE-ING as a practiced pathway that integrates science and soul to restore one’s sovereignty after sustaining trauma and life altering events.

The Practice of BE-ING

BE-ING is a conscious state of awareness where we relax into “what is,” regardless of presenting conditions and circumstances. From this space, breath flows with ease and we can access our internal guidance system of authentic knowing, which is intrinsic in all of us.

Whether alone or with horses as my partners, I serve as a witness and facilitator to people moving through trauma, transitions and life altering events, so that they may feel safe, seen and supported as they learn to regulate their nervous systems and heal.

Horses and BE-ING

A simple truth is that horses are masters of BE-ING in the here and now as they model healthy boundaries and connections in navigating life and relationships. I have found them to be invaluable teachers and partners in facilitating healings without a need for words.

Who Is Called to BE-ING

Most people who work with me are wanting to:

  • Heal from traumas that are longstanding and complex
  • Navigate a major life altering event, whether prompted by choice or circumstance (e.g. change of career, loss of home, death of a loved one, a newly diagnosed health condition/injury, just sober or substance free)
  • Live a more authentic life
  • Shift out of a stressful life that has compromised their health and narrowed their options
  • Develop their spirituality and expand their connection to collective consciousness
  • Deepen their intimacy and fulfillment in relationships
  • Try something different from talk therapy
  • Get “unstuck” from repeated patterns/cycles that have kept them from aligning with joy, passion, and purpose
